About Me

All the experiences I’ve had with the ocean have had a lasting impact on me and have highlighted the intrinsic connection humans have with the natural world. For this reason, I’ve directed my personal and professional life at changing the way people perceive and feel about the ocean through targeted communications, design, and real-life ocean interactions.

My work as a creative consultant in the field of marine conservation has given me the tools to provide new ways of communicating complex scientific concepts to non-specialist audiences and to solve problems from a different perspective. It has expanded the boundaries of what graphic design can achieve.  Giving me the opportunity to unite creativity with ocean conservation.

I also like to create space for new and exciting experiences in and on the sea. From joining eXXpedition’s Round the World Voyage. Sailing 2009nm from Galapagos to Easter Island, collecting and analysing sea samples for microplastic pollution in one of the most remote areas of the world; to being part of the local pool of volunteers in Brighton (UK) for the Wave Project, supporting young people to enhance their mental wellbeing through surf therapy.

Outside of work you will find me creating something with my hands, practicing yoga, and always close to the ocean; now facing the cold English sea!

My interests in a few words: ocean, conservation, sustainability, creativity, design, graphic, art, artivism, visual, communications, literacy, connectivity, balance, empathy, outreach, behaviour change, interactions, water, swim, dive, surf.
